Texas Southern University locked in legal dispute with police chief who’s still working despite being placed on leave

Mary Young has been granted two temporary restraining orders against the historically Black university in Houston’s Third Ward, which has alleged in court documents that its police chief fraudulently authorized thousands of dollars in extra pay for officers.
