Belle Lundon started off with a love for the entertainment business when she saw a little girl about the same age as her on a television show. The love for show business increased when she saw Patti LaBelle singing about “The Letter X” on Sesame Street. She looked up to Michael Jackson’s artistry as well as other artists whose careers have inspired her to embark on a similar path.
At the start of her career, her mom helped her get in the entertainment industry with headshots and finding theatrical representation. Born in New Orleans Louisiana, she attended the New Orleans Center for the Creative Arts during her senior year of high school, which offered a similar curriculum as a college conservatory. Belle attended college in California to pursue an education in the performing arts. She later moved to Houston to concentrate on her current music while maintaining theatrical representation in both Houston and Los Angeles.
“The connections we make in the entertainment industry is sometimes a mix of word of mouth and who you know. The trick is to have the wisdom to choose the right people to do business with. Having said that, some of my most important opportunities have stemmed from random encounters, which in turn is helping me to build a foundation with a team to help. Luckily, women are creating their own lanes without waiting for a lane to be carved out for them. My company allows me to be selective with projects I create or choose to become involved with. It will also create pathways of creative freedom for future artists.”
In her free time, Belle is teaching herself guitar while trying to squeeze in a Bikram yoga class once a week. Her favorite thing is spending time with her family during the holidays and watching Tyler Perry reruns with them.
“I also love collecting facial sheet masks and wearing them while driving. The reactions of the other drivers are entertaining.”
At the moment, Belle is gearing up for her next project which starts filming later this summer. She’s also excited for the release of her latest film called, “The Other SIde Of Infinity”. The film is about an asteroid hitting the sun and there is only six hours left until the world ends.
“My ultimate aspiration would be to direct films, more on the documentary side while traveling the world. Musically, I am working on my next song release which is called Lighting Soul in the Night. More of my original work will soon follow. I hope it will be received in a way, where people add my songs to their playlist in order to hear it again..”
