Chesapeake said it is shifting focus to its footprints in Appalachia and the Haynesville Basin and is “actively engaged with other parties regarding the rest of our Eagle Ford position.” But the latest deal’s “sales price likely reflects the limited buyer pool for this region of the Eagle Ford,” an analyst said.
